As an architecture major, I believe our role in today’s society is critical. Architects are increasingly responsible for addressing climate adaptation, carbon reduction, and social equity through the built environment. From resilient infrastructure to affordable and adaptable housing, architecture directly influences public health, economic opportunity, and environmental stewardship. Our training enables us to think systemically, balancing technical constraints with human experience, which are skills that are urgently needed as cities and landscapes face unprecedented change.
